Teddy bear pomeranian dogs are a new type of dog which have been around since the late 1990s. The Pomeranian dogs are also known as Pom Pom. They are a breed of dog of the Spitz or Nordic type. They were made in Germany and were favorite dogs in the royal court, so they can act like a member of the royal class.Coat and Colors
Pomeranians exist in variety of colors of any dog breed. They can be seen in brown, black, white, cream, orange, red, blue, spotted, brindle, brown and tan, black and tan and combination of those. But, the most popular colors are black, orange, white or cream. There’s a new recent color which is called merle and it is developed by the breeders. It is a mix of solid base color with lighter grey/blue patch. The base colors can be black, red or brown. The nose, paw pad and eye color are usually marshmallow, but the eyes can be blue and the nose and the paw pads can be mottled black and pink. The coat of the Pomeranians is thick and double coat. It is not difficult to groom a Pomeranian and it is recommended to be done daily so the coat can stay high quality. Because the coat is thick and keeps on shedding trimming is recommended every 1 or 2 months. The outer coat is harsh in texture, straight and long. The undercoat is short, soft and thick. The coat can easily tangle and knot when the undercoat is being shed. This can happen once in six months.Temperament
The Pomeranians, as any other Teddy Bear Dog, are playful, curious, affectionate, friendly and lively. They can be aggressive to other dogs if they feel competition or simply to prove themselves. They are alert and can feel changes in their environment. They like to bark and this can become a habit unless it’s prevented with training. They bark if they hear outside noises. Pomeranians can be a bit manipulative if they want to get something from their owners because they are intelligent. If they are not trained they can become dominant and aggressive. They enjoy being the center of attention and are extroverted. Pomeranians like toys and if the owner wants their dog to spend some time alone that is the perfect way. They are not one-person dogs, so the Pomeranian will connect and adore all of the family members. Their temperament is amazing, so they will fit in any family.Size
